My baby's having surgery...again

Nicole is going under the knife tomorrow. She had tubes put in her ears in Feb 2005 because of a 30% hearing loss in both ears. Today, with the tubes still in place, her hearing is at a 40% loss. So Dr. Finkelstein is going to remove the old tubes and put in new ones. Coley was an absolute trooper last time and I have no doubts that this time wont be any different.

The baby has arrived - and no, they didn't name her Brangelina.

Thousands of kilometres from Hollywood but still within easy reach of celebrity hype, Angelina Jolie gave birth to Brad Pitt's daughter Saturday in Africa, Pitt's publicist announced.
"The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt. No further information is being given," publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a statement.


Now -- can we get on with our lives? Do we have to hear any more about it???

Greenbank Public School Fun Fair

There is going to be a Fun Fair on Wednesday, June 28th from 3-7pm at the Greenbank Public School schoolyard. The passport will be $10 which includes enough tickets for the average child to have a blast the entire time. Additional passports will be available at a discount.

There is also vending tables available for $35. If you or anyone you know would be interested in renting a table, please call 905-985-7676.

Anyone wishing to purchase a passport to this event...please contact me. I will be handing out flyers...if you feel that you know of an advertising location (your child's daycare/church/library, etc.) please let me know!!

Cheryl's home on the web

Hi! My name is Wendy and I have been friends with Cheryl for almost as long as I can remember! We met in grade 3 actually - Mrs Rutledge's class. She was the "new" kid and was assigned the desk beside me. I don't recall many memories from that first year we met except one - Cheryl getting in trouble for chewing gum in class. She was punished by having to wear her gum on the end of her nose.

I guess this is the first "official" post to Cheryl's new blog - I offered to help set up her blog and get her going. I have been blogging for close to two years now (www.thevanclan.typepad.com)and Cheryl is one of my regular readers. Perhaps I was her inspiration to want to start her own blog?

So Cheryl - this is it - pretty simple! It will get easier the more you post and play around with the settings. This will be a great place to post pictures of the girls and keep family members in touch with the goings on in your life.
